Bhuvneshwar's older sister Rekha, understood her
younger brother's ability to bowl at the age of 10. At the age of 13,
Bhuvneshwar was taken by his sister to cricket coaching where the coach was
impressed by his performace instantly. He was told to come the next to for
coaching.
When asked, Rekha said that both their parents-
Dad- Kiran Pal Singh a Sub Inspector of Police and Mum-Indresh a housewife were
not much enthused about cricket and didnt understand it very well so she
decided that she had to take care of it by herself.Kumar's coach Rastogi stated
"Even in his Under-13, 15, 17 and 19 debut matches, he had done
exceedingly well". Whenever her younger brother needed cricket equipment,
Rekha would go and buy it herself
